A Special Request

Dear family and friends,

I come to you this evening with an urgent request. Steve and I have been continually encouraged and blessed by your faithful petition of prayers on our behalf. We have experienced the mighty hand of God in answers and healing because of these prayers. I feel like I have asked so much of you over the past years, but tonight I want to ask a huge favor of you.

A dear friend of my mother's, a sweet lady who has followed my story, prayed for me, and sent uplifting messages my way is in need of our prayers at this time. Angie is wonderfully married to Mark and the mother of eight-year-old Bailey. Mark was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer last February. Despite aggressive treatment, the cancer continues to metastasize and his condition has rapidly declined. They were planning on a special vacation to the beach this summer to make those important family memories for each other and their young daughter. The doctor's report this week has necessitated that their special vacation be taken now and they will be leaving Saturday for this important time together. I beg of you to stop and take a moment to lift up this family in prayer. If you would like to follow their story or send them a message of encouragement their CarePage site is cp:givinggodalltheglory.

On a separate note, as I was thinking about Angie and Mark today, I found myself reflecting on my life as of late as well. (Being quarantined allows for a lot of time of reflection!) For the first time, I sat down and looked at my own CarePage site in its entirety. I read every post and every incredible and encouraging message, private or public, that you have sent my way. I am so humbled by what a wonderful support system Steve and I have in you. (This is what led me to ask you to pray for the Fersner family in hopes they will feel the same encouragement you have given us!) I ended my time on the site by reading the "About Lee and Steve" section. I was amazed and humbled by how much I have learned about understanding the things of this life since I wrote that section two years ago. So on this wintry, snowy day I rewrote this section with the new truths and experiences of the last year or so. I am excited to share these with you and hope you will take the time to "click on" this section and find encouragement and hope for the daily trials, sufferings, and struggles we all encounter.

As always, thanks for checking in on us and please remember this dear family and pray for them everytime they come to mind. Thank you for petitioning God on their behalf.

Love always, Lee (and Steve)

Lee, My heart breaks for this sweet family but know God holds them (and us all) in the palm of His hand and carries us through difficult times. To Him be the glory for all He has done. Blessings to you and Steve too!

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance" James 1:2-3 This is a hard verse to take in but you have truly learned what it means. Thanks for your "repost"

and request of prayer for the Fersners. I also know the Fersners and it has been very hard to watch their suffering but also a blessing as I see Angie's post of her blessings and faithful service even on the hardest of days.

You and Steve will always be special in our lives. In watching you in your teen years to following you once we parted ways, you have lifted us by your lives. I wish we lived closer, as do so many, but God has a reason for separating His warriors for different purposes. We love you and always want the best for you. Shari

Hi Lee and Steve. So sorry to learn about Mark, Angie and Bailey. When I tried to go to the link givegodalltheglory , it did not work. Can you resend? Or maybe the last name. Very Sad. Praying. Love, Bill

As you know, Uncle Steve's sister, Angel, had type IV colon cancer. She is doing great now. God has blessed her to be in remission for over two years. Uncle Steve will be going back to the gastrointestinal doctor on Wednesday, March 2, for the results of his test. The biopsy was for

Chrone's. Please pray for him and the diagnosis. We also have a family vacation planned to Disney but will wait to see what the doctor says on Wednesday to secure the reservations. We love you guys and will be praying for Angie and Mark. Love, Aunt Helen

Thanks for sharing about Angie, Mark & Bailey. I will be praying for them daily. I know your mom is a blessing to Angie. Your own updates were such a blessing to read! I'm praying God will use your messages to touch Teresa's heart, too. Nothing is hopeless, because God is still

God. Praise His Holy Name!! Love to you and Steve!
