Underway!

Good morning, Steve here....first let me say thank you so much for ALL of your prayers and notes (and happy birthday wishes). Lee was just rolled into the operating room and insisted that I let you know she was at peace and doing well. She specifically asked that I share John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts to be troubled, neither let them be afraid." This verse has meant a great deal to us over the past two days.

We've already had answers to prayer this morning in that she slept well last night and then arrived at the hospital to find that the Chief of anesthesiology had rearranged his schedule to be able to manage Lee's surgery. She was in very good spirits as she rolled into the O.R. I will keep you posted as any news comes throughout the day. Thank you again for your prayers!

I woke up this morning thinking about Lee and feeling at peace. And Happy Birthday Steve. It seems ridiculous to say "enjoy your day" considering what you and Lee are going through today, but perhaps you could enjoy it from the perspective of knowing that Lee is finally getting the medical treatment she needs

and knowing you have a not small army of people who are standing in the gap for both of you.
