We Made It!

I'll keep this update brief because we just made it to Lee's Grandmother's house (she is 96 and still lives by herself) and she is very anxious for some "quality time". I know many of you have been praying faithfully for our trip over the past two days and I am ecstatic to report that we made it over 700 miles with no problems and Lee rode comfortably the entire way (see the photo album for the definition of "travelling in style"). I'll let her fill you in on the details personally in the near future but she reports a truly miraculous ride across some of the roughest roads in the country with NO increased pain. She continues to have significant relief from many of her other previous symptoms and her stamina and pain control are improving daily. We are so blessed and thankful!
We now get to settle in and enjoy some time with family and friends over the next several days. I also hope to finalize the plans tomorrow for an informal afternoon gathering on the 29th and am hopeful that many of you in Tennessee will be able to stop in so we can catch up with you. I'll update as soon as details are set, but in the meantime we hope that you too will have an opportunity to be with family and friends to celebrate the life, love, and sacrifice of our Savior and enjoy a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
With love, Steve & Lee

Wow!! Two weeks and a couple days over the rivers & through the woods to grandmother's house.. What a trip! We feel so, so happy for you and your family - thousands of
prayers were surely sending little jolts of spiritual energy for both of you to endure this cross then savor the joy at the end of the road. But know, with the trust & tenacity each of you share, this "ride' is
a proud demonstration what a couple, dedicated to each other (and others), can endure & yet relish His will. You've inspired many in ways you may never know. Have the BEST of Christmas joy this year, rest easy and enjoy family & friends. Both of you will remain in our thoughts & prayers during the holidays. And, if by chance a glass of "cheer" is in my clutch, I'll be sure to "toast"
Lee's improving health and forever safe travels for you both. Merry Christmas.......from Bob & Chris

We are so happy and I know "Grandmother" is happy. I loved my Mama Eva sooooo very much and now that I have "grown" grandchildren the joy is over- flowing. God is really good for this kind of reunions. Just think how happy we will be when we see HIM. Love each and every one of you, and Lee what courage. Evalyn and Bruce

Well, now it's time for ALL of you to rest, relax and recuperate. Enjoy your time with Family and Friends, and with each other. And be sure to give both sets of parents an especially big hug from all of us for their steadfast support and their presence when we couldn't be. Happy Holidays and safe travels. Oh, and Lee, you are AWESOME ... With Love and Encouragement, Jim and Kathy
