We're Home

This is not Urgent but Carepages is only posting Urgent updates consistently at this time for some reason. I apologize if you received this twice and also apologize to those of you we promised an update to yesterday and it didn't go through!

This is Steve posting a brief note to say thanks to all of you for your prayers on Lee's behalf during her muscle biopsy this morning. She came through the procedure without any anesthesia complications and is at home resting.

We were a bit apprehensive when we arrived in the pre-surgical suite and Lee's initial blood pressure was a whopping 77/50, but the anesthesia and neurosurgical teams weren't shaken and went forward with the aid of a few blood pressure enhancing medications. The total time for the procedure was just short of two hours and it was such a blessed site to walk into the recovery room and find her awake and smiling! It will likely take several weeks before we begin to get any results from the various labs that will review the specimen but we are thankful to have this and the autonomic testing series behind her.

We will return to the clinic to have Lee's wound examined and likely her stitches removed next Tuesday morning at 9. We were also able to get an appointment with the final group, the cardiology specialists, at the University of Washington for Friday, November 20th at 1 pm.

I know Lee will update you with more detail when she is feeling a bit better. Until then, please continue to pray that her pain throughout the healing process will be manageable and that she can rest well. Again, thanks to each of you for your prayers, phone calls, kind words, and encouraging messages. They truly brighten Lee's days and lift her spirits.
